One of the objectives of this manual is to foster design solutions that contribute to the common good, understood from the perspective of the philosopher Jacques Maritain, who distinguishes two interconnected dimensions. The first is individuality, encompassing the material aspects of human existence—body, health, hygiene, and vitality—while recognizing the person through their spirituality, values, principles, ethics, and morality. The second is community, the sphere that promotes personal fulfillment through encounter, relationships, and human connection (Santamaría, 1955).
